It will only show that they have not scrutinize the provisions of the bill or they are ignorant of what is the meaning of abortifacients. They must study the mechanism of actions of the hormonal contraceptives and the IUD. They should study elementary embryology if they want to be truthful of their faith. In this bill there is no separation of church and state in this bill. It is about life of the unborn and about our constitution in Section 12.rey j. echavezhttp://www.echavezmedical.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-797917605105900943.post-34706744058145450702011-06-17T23:05:10.542+08:002011-06-17T23:05:10.542+08:00So what's the correct interpretation of Genesi...So what's the correct interpretation of Genesis 1:28?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-797917605105900943.post-2579737218953267712011-05-17T18:28:58.309+08:002011-05-17T18:28:58.309+08:00Last Anonymous Troll:

It simply isn't there.

And, PLEASE, don't comment on something you know absolutely nothing about. The INC's support for the RH bill is mainly based on their deeply flawed and grammar-defying interpretation of Genesis 1:28. The INC does not in any way, form, or method support the bill with religious reasons in general.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-797917605105900943.post-88612243037181069962011-05-12T01:31:31.077+08:002011-05-12T01:31:31.077+08:00The Church is defined as the People of God. By denying the Church the right to speak against the RH Bill, the State has denied the rights of the people to speak of matters concerning national interest. Therefore, the State violates the Constitution.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-797917605105900943.post-81260381366494587742011-05-11T11:23:25.189+08:002011-05-11T11:23:25.189+08:00When one speaks the truth, it doesn't matter w...When one speaks the truth, it doesn't matter whether one gets the respect of people or not. But I would hope that they would use this right responsibly, and not resort to misinformation (condoms cause cancer, RH equals abortion) and threats (excommunication, civil disobedience). Fight for your beliefs fairly using rational arguments and people will respect you for it, win or lose.

I would also hope that they recognize that many Filipinos, including atheists, people of other religions, and even many Christians, do not believe as they do, that using condoms is a sin, homosexuality is evil, and that the universe was created in 6 days. So please think: Is it right for me to force my beliefs on other people? What would Jesus do?

Lastly, and this is just my personal opinion: I think the RCC's argument that the RH Bill would just siphon money off other more worthwhile government services would have more weight if the Church actually paid taxes. Why not pay taxes voluntarily, even if not asked? I know I would have more respect for the Church if it did.

Because right now, I have none.Glennnoreply@blogger.com
