gagastos ang gobyerno para maimulat mga mata ng mga kasambayanan kung paano mag plano ng pamilya dapat ipahalaga natin ang effort at gastos ng gobyerno.
ReplyDeleteActually, the cost of a pack of TRUST brand COCs (combined oral contraceptives) is P44 for 28 pills. So the math here is a bit exaggerated, but we get the drift. The real interesting question is: if a pack only costs P44 a month, do we really need the government to pay a woman's monthly consumption so that at the end of 3 years (and P1,584 spent), she can be diagnosed with breast cancer, the treatment for which will surely cost more than 10 times what was spent on the pills in the first place? I say, if a poor woman wants to kill herself with breast cancer (or DVT, or stroke, or lupus), she should pay for it herself. She should demand that the government ensure "the right of women to protection from hazardous drugs, devices, interventions, and substances" instead. (Magna Carta for Women)
